There is a common notion with describing events and developments in our lives, but coining the popular film title, “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” However, when talking about life matters, in reality there are no “ugly” moments, but more so “unfavorable” moments that although we are faced with them, and they are quite distasteful and stressful most of the time, are not necessarily unsolvable or impossible to overcome.
All of us have to go through some sort of change during our lives. Some changes are voluntary, and some – if we don’t take care of health, stress and wealth – become compulsory . . . and quite painful. However, humans are endowed by our Creator with the capacity to face life challenges, recognize the challenges for what they are, and then address the challenges to resolve them and prevent – hopefully – their return.
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill . . . Free Digital Download Edition
I wish I had read this book years ago, not months or weeks ago . . . But years ago!!! I understand that this book, published first in 1937, is the primer for all success and self-improvement manuals that came after it. I’ve just finished reading an audio book of this book offered through Brian Johnson’s Philosopher’s Notes website.
After listening to the audio content and reading the ebook brief, I thought to go through the entire book, as Mr. Napoleon Hill had originally intended. So I found the Think-and-Grow-Rich website, and downloaded the completed digital edition.
I had finished reading – several times – The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles. And now, I’m going through Think and Grow Rich.
Simply put . . . we get our thoughts right, then we can make right actions.
I recently started to re-read my copy of Wallace D. Wattles’ book, The Science of Getting Rich.
I have been working with this online marketing thing for so long with only residual results, that I decided to start with my foundation, and that, according to Mr. Wattles, would to change the foundation of my thinking. So I’ve focused on just that, to re-orient my thinking toward success and getting rich, not to continue to focus on my woes and problems.
I will keep you updated about my progress, from real terms, not just the fluff. Suffice it to say right now that changing our thinking and thinking habits might just be the most difficult thing any of us could do in our lives, but if successful in this, the potential for other success in circumstances will be phenomenal!
You can order the book in PDF format, or in a 2-CD Audiobook. I found the audiobook even more beneficial as I downloaded it to my smartphone to listen.
If you also want a copy of The Science of Getting Rich, for FREE, then just Click on the following link.
So . . . you all now know my experience in learning how to swim . . . the pool . . . the ice cold water . . . and the bees!
And what exactly does swimming have to do with doing an online business?
Well . . . let’s look at the whole swimming mindset . . . and the online business mindset. And keep in mind, this is from my personal experience . . . in both swimming and doing business online.
As you’ve probably concluded, I’ve pretty much known how to swim since I was about nine years old . . . Now I’m on the declining side of 60, and still swimming, probably better now than I ever have. But that’s another story. Suffice it to say that swimming might be one of the best exercises – besides walking – for senior fitness . . . of course if you know how to swim. Even water exercises and water aerobics are wonderful options.
Now what does swimming have to do with an online business?
The online business landscape is much like an ocean . . . sometimes calm and mostly stormy. Many of us are not really sharks or whales in this ocean of online business and marketing. Most of us are guppies or at best minnows just barely swimming in a huge current of SEOs, leads, emails, spams, safelists, and a world of other cyber entities that consume our energy, time, attention and learning skills. We try our best to learn all the secrets, techniques, special strategies to help improve our online presence only to see a marked deficiency in our time, and in many cases our monthly income, which though there is an increase output, the input is about the same or even less.
Hello to all my site visitors, (whom I hope are quite an increasing number at least).
I am in the process of cleaning up my website. It is very important to be as organized as one can when presenting different types of information. In this crazy ever-expanding online marketing world, it is even more important as you can always find something better, glitzier, more video-er, etc. I am not going to try to wow any over with glitz and fare . . . That doesn’t necessarily mean that I am not striving to achieve the greatest amount of success that is decreed for me. I just choose to do it with a bit more reality to myself. If you like that, then come along with me for the ride. I promise to share as much as I can that has been useful, or at least keeps my interest. I also will share my glories (not too many yet) and my pains in online marketing. Lessons learned may lead to enhanced future success for all. . . .
Maintaining a website can be a time-consuming and learning intensive endeavor.
And if we are not very adapt at the whole process of web concept development and web design, the process will also become quite labor-intensive and, consequently very frustrating . . . almost to the point of just giving up and looking for a part-time job and somewhere else. It’s a bit refreshing that we have these portals like WordPress and other software to help with the back-end development. If not, I would dare say most if not many of us would just not even consider working a website simply because of lack of HTML programming know-how, or media manipulation, or any one of many other technical skills, not even to mention the need to have something to say or write, or any sense of how to promote our “thing.” Continue reading
